In addition to writing for SheKnows, author Jessica Hartshorn contributes to parenting sites such as ScaryMommy and tests and reviews products for Good Housekeeping. She's a former senior editor of Parents magazine, where she covered anything that kids touched, from toys to strollers to skincare. Before that, she did the same for American Baby magazine. Hartshorn grew up in Pittsburgh and majored in journalism at the Pennsylvania State University before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Her kiddos are big now, one in high school and one in college.
