While heartwarming romances or belly-aching comedies are always enjoyable to read, there’s nothing quite like reading a mystery novel. After all, nothing makes readers fly through pages like the anticipation of an unsolved murder or a deeply-kept secret.
And, as any great book club would do, Reese Witherspoon‘s notorious book club has selected a series of mystery novels over the years. When the actress announced her latest mystery recommendation in 2024, First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston., she couldn’t stop gushing about how gripping the novel was. “It’s such a fun read, there’s so many twists and turns and I just couldn’t put it down,” Witherspoon said.
