Marvel movies have come a very long way since the franchise’s humble beginnings, when films like Iron Man and Captain America were the only titans in the universe. Since then, there have been dozens of projects breaking box office records and creating a die-hard fandom, and 2021 was an especially big year for Marvel, with mini-series success stories like WandaVision and Hawkeye and hit films like The Eternals. And with all of those big hits came all the stars of the Marvel Universe — showing off their superhero skills when it comes to red carpet fashion.
With 2021 coming to a close, we thought we’d look back at the best fashion moments from the year’s Marvel premieres. From Zendaya’s recent Internet-breaking spiderweb gown for the Spider-Man: No Way Home premiere to Angelina Jolie making The Eternals red carpet a family affair, there was a lot to, well, marvel at. Seriously, we can’t get over some of these gowns! And even many of the guys decided to shake things up and go beyond the typical black-tie tux.
