Book lovers, show yourselves. Reese Witherspoon — the famous keeper of one seriously rad virtual book club — is looking to add a resident librarian to her roost. And it could be you! That is, provided you love to read, have a sparkling sense of humor, and share Witherspoon’s commitment to highlighting female voices. Also, it helps if you’ve actually been a librarian.
Here’s the drill: Reese’s Book Club is looking for a librarian who can communicate with Witherspoon, authors of the books the club selects, and the community at large. Presumably, this person will lead discussions and assist with book selections as well.
“As our librarian, you’ll be chatting with me to spark entertaining conversation with our book club community across Instagram and YouTube,” Witherspoon says in a video announcing the role. “So here’s what we’re looking for: Do you really love books? I mean, really, really love books — like you have a stack of ten books beside your bed that you’re desperate to read? Do you have a great sense of humor? Because I really like to laugh. Let’s also talk about dance moves; this could be very important. We love some great dance moves. Have you ever worked in a library? You might already be the local librarian we are looking for!”
This sounds like such a fun opportunity. And the chance to talk books with Reese Witherspoon herself? Legendary.
Interested in applying? It’s a pretty simple process. You simply need to fill out a form, write a short statement about your interest in the position, and share a 90-second video showcasing your book-loving-joke-cracking-dance-move-busting personality. Witherspoon will select finalists herself(!!!).
If you’re excited about the opportunity, you can head here to apply.
