Are Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Performing Their New Duet at the Grammy Awards?

As if the Grammy Awards weren’t already must-see TV for music fans, now there’s another exciting reason to tune in: Blake Shelton just teased his performance at the upcoming Grammy Awards…and it sounds like he’ll be joining forces with real-life love Gwen Stefani. And if his recent Instagram post is any indication, Shelton and Stefani will perform their new duet, “Nobody But You” at the awards show.

Shelton posted a shot announcing himself as a Grammy performer on Instagram along with the caption “Nobody but you, @gwenstefani, that I’d want to share this year’s @recordingacademy #GRAMMYs stage with! Tune-in Jan. 26th to watch our performance!”.

Stefani reposted the same photo, writing “@blakeshelton never in my wildest dreams could I imagine this!😳🤔🙏🏻 #yesplease #myfavoritecountrysinger #nobodybutyou” alongside the image of her love.

“This was one of those songs where the more I heard it, the more I fell in love with it,” Shelton said of the track, according to People. “It fits my story. I was about to go in and record when I decided that it needed Gwen on it — because it is our song. I think it’s magic.”

“The lyrics of that song are so on point, not just for me and Gwen, but I think for a lot of people,” Shelton told Nashville Lifestyles. “The song is not a fairytale, but at the same time it’s the most epic, Earth-rattling love song I’ve heard in a long time, because the lyrics are so honest and just say it how it is.”

Stylistically speaking, the two singers don’t have a tremendous amount in common — he’s (more than) a little bit country, she’s (more than) a little bit rock n’ roll. But based on the couple’s incredible chemistry, we can only imagine this duet, performed live, will be pretty amazing. This isn’t the first time Shelton and Stefani have joined musical forces: They also recorded “Go Ahead and Break My Heart” together in 2016.

You can take a listen to the track itself, which appears on Shelton’s album, Fully Loaded: God’s Country — but the January 26 awards will hopefully give us the chance to watch the couple perform the duet live for the first time. Fingers crossed, because we can’t wait!
