As part of the California brand’s spring styles, Vans is remixing a trio of its signature sneaker silhouettes with the colorful “Meadow Patchwork” pack. Mixing disparate checks, plaids, paisleys, florals and more, the Sk8-Lo, Era and Slip-On all feature mismatched prints, rendered in pale, sunny tones.
All three makeups juxtapose contrasting printed panels on the canvas uppers, drawing inspiration from warm weather flowers and picnic tables with a variety of light gold hues. Much like the recent kicks from the “Bandanna” pack, these three staple skate shoes are done in light yellow and brown, contrasted with a bit of pure black for soft visual appeal.
Accompanying plaids and paisleys, a tonal leather jazz stripe on the Sk8-Lo, matching laces and white soles for each of the sneakers, keeping the light and airy vibes intact. There are also subtle differences between the models, like the aforementioned leather accent, black trim on the Slip-On, and gold eyelets on the lace-up sneakers.
The first two styles of the “Meadow Patchwork” pack are available at Vans website and stores.
Most recently, Vans paid homage to The Beautiful Game with a three-piece tennis pack in partnership with Penn.
